At the trail head on Rt. 42 near Newport, VA, we met several other hikers and gave them a ride into town. On the left is section hiker Pundit, who was feeling ill from the hot humid weather and ending his hike. Also shown are thru-hikers Low, Unicorn, and Pegasus, and their dog Ginny whom they adopted earlier on the Trail.
