Welcome to Geometry! I believe this is one of the most important classes you will take in your school career and that each and every one of you can succeed.
Geometry is one of the oldest fields of mathematics and one with many practical applications. Geometry is central to physics and engineering, introduces the idea of formal proof that forms the basis for higher-level mathematics, and is a prerequisite for Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and college math. Colleges require a high school Geometry course as a prerequisite for admission.
The key to success in this and any other academic class is to do all the assignments on time. Here are some ways that parents and guardians can help their student succeed.
The only way to learn math is to do math. Some time should be spent on math each school night. Assignments are due about once a week. Check this web site for assignments and due dates, and ask to see your student's work in progress.
Please review the syllabus.
Encourage your student to use class time wisely.
Use Zangle Parent Connect to check current grades and missing assignments weekly. Click grades for more info.
